Clutch job-was this too much? 200 1982

Work was performed at a place in Bklyn, NYC.Break down was as follows;
1.Clutch kit-(Plate, disc ,bearing) $213.40
2.Pilot bearing $ 13.13
3.cable $ 91.76
4.Arm/fork $ 86.07
5.Crankshaft seal $ 23.97
6.machine flywheel $ 95.00
7.labor $598.40
8.subtotal $1121.75
9.sales tax NYC(8.63%) +$96.81
10.total $1218.56

Car is '82 244DL 4spd+OD 162,754 miles

Car has a loud chirping sound
that goes away when I lightly step on clutch pedal.Called place & the guy said if it persists bring it back in a week.
I would have tackled this myself if not for my inguinal hernia.Used to do clutches on my Karmann Ghia & T-3's but that was when I was 23.
