244DL (1982) Distributor Cap / Plug wire hookup? 200

Hello all!

I just replaced the distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, plug wires, and ignition coil on a 1982 244DL sedan with a B21F engine. When hooking up the distributor and new wires I ran in to a problem - the Chilton manual displays a plug wire hookup order that is different from what is labelled on the distributor cap!

My question is, should I follow the Chilton manual or the distributor cap? The old cap is labelled the same as the new one. Yes, i was a putz - I forgot to label the wires before I unplugged them... =(
