R & R 240 Turns Sig & Dimmer switch 200 1991

Howdyall:

I'm a bit confused. How do you replace the dimmer/turn signal switch on a 1991 240? Do you need to remove the steering wheel?

My repair manual says you have to. In another message re steering wheel, another poster advised me that I don't, and that I don't want to mess with the airbags.

Eyeballing it, it looks like you might be able to get to the switch without having to pull the steering wheel.

True?

It's really getting aggravating. No one around here knows hand signals (including the cops).

Thanks to all for help.

dave
