New Wheels ?? Wheel Adaptor + Spacer -- Will this work? 200

This is my '89 245. The front wheel i'm testing for fit in the photo is a 5x100 bolt pattern and is a 225-50-16 tire. It looks like I would definately need to offset this wheel w/ a spacer, otherwise it would rub on the shock assembly. It will of course, need a wheel adaptor to go from 5x100 to the volvo's 5x108. I'm not sure if the wheel adaptor will be enough spacing to avoid rubbing??? Your brains are appreciated on this matter....what do you think?
