Check valve problem, carbon deposits or something else that cause Dieseling at first start? 200 1985

I read some posts about some people with similar symptoms on their 240s. Now for the facts. The car when it first starts in the morning the first start always seems to be very rough(dieseling) and the engine barrely runs for 2-3 seconds and then dies. When I do the second try the engine starts right up. I have a 3k mile new fuel pump and the check valve and fuel filter is about 30k miles 3 years old. The problems started appearing after I started leaving my car for prolonged periods of time parked(1-2 weeks). I got my car from the parking garage on Sunday and during the first start the car was idling rough(dieseling) for 4-5 seconds. Driving to work on Monday morning had also the same problem. When the car sits for 4-5 hours it starts right up. Today I started the engine with the same problem but it seems to start getting better by itself. Carbon deposits?

1. Do I have to suspect the check valve? But it is fairly new.
2. Is it something else associated with the fuel system?
3. Could it be carbon deposits in the Valves as some people had recommended at their posts. I drive this car for VERY low miles. 25-30 per week(2 miles at work) at most or 2k per year. On the weekends I drive my other car. What kind of fuel additives can I try to fix the problem?

Any recommendations

Thanks

Mike
