230F piston/cylinder wall oil spray '93 940

Tearing down overheated 230 F and discovered jets that spray oil onto underside of piston!!!. Nice feature. 125k on engine and no wear on walls or piston skirts. This engine should never get piston slap. Recently bought car and understand it was purchased new in Germany. Have seen inside of later model 230F's and they don't have oil spray. When did Volvo include feature in US engines or did they just put it in German cars for high speed Autobahn driving? 93 940 engine serial # is 6821037 NR 3499. Need replacement engine for 89 240 and would prefer 230F with oil spray. How can you tell if your getting one without removing oilpan and looking? Any info appreciated.

Steve 3-240's in Charlotte and 1-93 940 with oil pan, head and pistons in trunk
