1990 back glass; what years will work? 700

I need to replace back glass in my 740 sedan, 1990. The interchangebooks say 1987 and up will work. I have located 1984 and 1986 parts cars and it looks like the glass is the same except for the defroster and it's connections. Has anyone dealt with this or have 1st hand knowledge? Bodies and glass look exactly the same to me.
