Dimmer switch issue 200

In putting my new tach in I mistakenly unplugged the gray and white with red strip from the dimmer plug. I corrected this but. . . now. The battery light, brake failure light, parking brake light which I can make brighter and dimmer with the dimmer switch. What did I connect incorrectly. I have rotated 180 degress with the same result. I did not disconnect the other wire connected to the dimmer switch. Just the one with the gray and white with red strip.
I appreciate any help. This site has been a great source of info!
