How long should a rebuilt rear caliper last? 200

I will have to replace the rear left caliper on my 1990 240DL again. This caliper was replaced about 16 months ago with a rebuilt unit.Once again the outer piston got stuck while the inner piston moves freely. Is 16 months the best I can get? I got the calipers from FCP Groton. My local Auto Zone charges quite a bit more for the rebuilt calipers but they give you a lifetime warranty.Maybe this is a better route? Can the frozen piston be loosened with maybe pb blaster? Or bite the bullit and get another caliper?thanks,
Nelson
