mpg and waisting wallets 120-130

With the rocketing cost of fuel these days, I've started to actually think about keeping to cost-efficient speeds (against all my better natures).

What mpg are you all getting?

Today on a mixed run of 60% trunk roads (60mph), 20% motorway (80mph) and 20% 1st/2nd gear in towns I did 235 miles on a tank of petrol (or at least almost a tank as I chickened out on refilling from a canister at the side of the road!) which is about 23/24 mpg.

Is this about average?
