95 960 wheels, will they fit a 240? 900

Got a line on a set of 15x7 Borbets from a '95 960. I looked at the original invoice and it says the offset is 35mm. Apparently 240s are supposed to be 20mm but all info I can find says 900 series are also supposed to be 20mm.

So I'm really confused. If they fit a '95 960, will they fit a 91 240? What about a 740? Was something changed in the suspension of the 960 that would make the factory offset different than a 240/740? I also wonder if tirerack didn't pay too much attention to the correct offset and they just happened to fit.

Thanks,
