No Start - tried everything going CRAZY 700 1990

Because you have a 1990, with two fuel pumps, and since there are few non-regina, non-turbo 1990 740's, can I assume you have a turbo? I'm also assuming the problem became much worse after swapping the battery. If both of my assumptions are correct, did you inadvertently wiggle a somewhat loose power stage? It lives on the inner fender WAY close to the battery. When sitting in the car attempting to start it, does the tach needle move? If the tach needle doesn't move, and you can hear the fuel pump buzzing, the problem is most likely the power stage.

How did you test the fuel pump? How did you check for spark? Did you check for codes in the OBD port? How does your crank sensor look? Etc., Etc.

Chris
