740 Turbo starts FINALLY! -- (subtitled: 'Boy, am I an idiot!') 700

Some of you may remember the assortment of issues with my 740 Turbo wagon that have lasted over a month, that started with a clogged CAT. Got the got CAT changed, and the thing wouldn't start. Changed O2 sensor, fuel filter, engine wiring harness (man, was that an adventure!), MAF sensor, ECU, fuel pressure regulator, distributor cap/rotor and plug wires. Still, no start.

Finally had the notion to have the DISTRIBUTOR checked, and sure enough it had died -- probably right after I got the CAT changed.

Needless to say, as a result of all of this I've ended up with a rather extensive TUNE UP, and she's running like a dream again.

Still gotta figure out how to take the panel off the rear passenger door that won't open without breaking the door panel and locate and change the light bulb in the shift-indicator, and figure out why my front windshield wipers only operate on one-speed and I'll be good to go.

While I got your attention though, there is one other thing I noticed. There is a molded (plastic?) "spoiler?) that seems to have almost melted away just above the rear exhast pipe. I looks like there are just bolts holding it. Is it feasible to get one from a junkyard and remove and replace it, or should I just take it off?
