ignition timing II 700 1987

I have a '87 740 Turbo. I wanted to check the ignition timing - the manual tells you to disconnect and plug the distributor vacuum line, but where is it. Is it the same as the one that goes to the PCV?? This line is quite oily - something wrong?? Isn't there an oil trap?? Anyway, if it is the line I’m talking about, the ignition timing at idle didn't change at all when i disconnected the line (~25 BTDC - that's much too much since it should be at 12, but the engine runs nice, except under full load)
I know that i have somewhere a leak on my intake - i tried to find it with carburetor cleaner - I sprayed half of the bottle without any result. (I know there is a leak since my turbo gauge stays at idle position even when i use the engine break down the hill)
So, was it the right hose i disconnected, did i do something wrong, or dose my small leak screws everything up??
