False Alarm 200 1983

So I am reading the paper this morning and spot "84 Volvo $600". I call and an elderly woman answers. I ask "Is the car a 240". She says she doesn't know. I describe a 240 and she says she can't tell. All she can tell me is that it is black and has really low miles. So, I leave work and drive over there, thinking all the way I've run across a black, low mileage 240 (maybe even a turbo) that I'm going to negotiate her down on. Imagine my disappointment when low miles meant "231,000", its a 760 without a functioning a/c or power steering system, the interior looks like it was used to cage the neighborhood's ferile cat population, the sunroof is stuck open, etc., etc. I've seen cars at the boneyard that were in better shape. When will I learn that this hobby of mine can be infuriating.
