What and Where to have head work done? 140-160

Hello all,

I need some advice. I have a 71 145. My wife got me the Street preformance cam w/lifters for my birthday (yea I know she is great :)) and I intend on putting it in soon. My brother is now offering to help me do some other engine work while I have things apart. I would like to concentrate on the head as the rest of the motor has been mildly modified ie. FI head but the engin is caburated with a down draft weber, "big bore" pistons, header + 2 1/4" exhaust, elec. ignition.

Is there a local shop that REALLY knows what they are doing and could port the head for me? Could I find all the numbers and take it to a shop I trust and have them bring it to spec?

What shall I do???
