ignition timing II 700 1987

On my 86 there is a elec. connector just above the battery that has two wires on it. It is attached to the fender and has nothing pluged into it and in order to re-set the timming one of the wires must be grounded. But, before you do this it would be a good idea to take apart the TB and clean out 100% of the crud and oil. A word to the wise...NEVER use carb cleaner on your your engine it will cause all kinds of problems with rubber O-rings and some gaskets too.
Use Air -Intake Cleaner comes in a can just like carb cleaner and cost about the same, your Brick will be much happer as will you. You use this product for the same things as carb. cleaner with no risk of more repaires.
