Indeed, the problem is that you are in HI... I would really think that you'd do better to have your current gearbox repaired rather than ship one over... unless, that is, you can find one locally. Even if you found a used one, its likely to be worn out as well...

Also, you mention clutch troubles... are you sure that clutch is dis-engaging completely? If not, it could seem like a syncro problem.

As you surely know, shipping big, heavy stuff ain't cheap... one of the drawbacks of living in paradise I s'pose...
