WHITE SMOKE ON START UP.....PROBLEM??????? 200 1986

Hello all......
I've been laid up for about 10 days with some minor shoulder surgery and not allowed to drive. My '86 240 sedan with 292,000 miles and original engine with oil changes every 2500 miles has been running fine. I drive it about 90 miles each day all highway miles. Today, my wife took it into town and as I watched her start up and drive away, I saw white smoke coming from the exhaust pipe. It uses no oil between oil changes, I guess only 6 weeks go by between the changes, and the car appears to have good power and pickup and I have never noticed any smoke when put under load as in passing etc. Why would it puff white smoke now? Just sitting for 10 days? Or will I only get another 100,000 more miles out of it?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and comments.
