Hi all,
I have had a good look through the archives and can't really find complete answers to my questions regarding diffs in 120's.
I have (or am going to have in a few days) a '67 123GT with the factory lsd. I really want four wheel disc brakes and use of the later master cylinder with the split braking system. And yes, I know this has been covered in previous posts and I know that most of the braking is done by the front brakes.
I see that from previous posts that an 1800 rear disc diff will fit, but they are very hard to come by in australia so that isn't really an option. I have access to a '69 140 with rear discs and was wondering if this diff can be used (I realise the tracks are slightly different between models) or are the suspension mounting points too different to facilitate this?
If the diff from a 140 is waaay too different to fit then is there some other way to use the disc brakes from the 140 and install them on the 123's diff?
And last but not least I was wondering if the pumpkin out of the 123GT lsd diff is interchangeable with the later diffs? If so which models is the center interchangeable with (ie just 1800 and 140 or is it the same as the 240 as well)?
Thanks,
Daz
