In-tank Fuel Strainer 140-160 1971

I've been there, and done that, and shredded my strainer. I also couldn't locate a replacement for a decent price so I left it bare and now I run a cheapie clear plastic inline filter before the pump inlet from the outside of the tank. I have a nice pile of rust collected in there after a couple months worth of driving.

The filter I used was a carb off the shelf filter from advance auto, around 3 bucks I think.
