Score! 700 1989

Refusing to give into the cheap interior pieces in my 760, I went in search for something more appropriate to replace the lower rings that are so easy to break on the tailgate panel. You know, the ones that the maddening little turn 90 degrees thingies fit through to secure the lower portion of the tailgate panel to the tailgate?

Solution: small washer. OD: 24/32" ID: 6/16". Give or take a few weird USA units.

Four washers (and two big ol' fender washers fer the splash pan): $0.32.
JB Weld: $6 (okay, okay, I already had that laying around from the last time one of these beasts sprung a leak on me).
Never having to repair the tailgate panel again: priceless.
