best tire size for stock rim 200

Hello,

on my 1981 240 dl the stock tire size is 195/70/14 and my question is, has anybody tried a different size for better performance, say a 205/60/14 or any such size tire, i am getting new tires and wanted to know what would be a good improvement size.

Also, does anybody know what is the wheel size for the stock rims,(picture)
