Engine swaps into 120's 120-130


An audi turbo diesel 5 cylinder from an audi 5000 would be pretty
cool with a 140 or 122 -- I imagine that it would probably fit. The
bell housing for the audi diesels is (I think) the same as for the
volvos with the 6 cylinder diesels in the 240/740s. The VW bell
housings are different, so the normal TDI and 4 cylinder diesels are
not an option. Similarly, I think the 1.8T and VR6 are also out
because there is no RWD transmission for these. The audi 5 cylinder
diesel is pretty much like the diesel available in europe on the
volvos, and like the I6 diesel in the USA with the front cylinder
lopped off.

I'd rather use a mercedes diesel, but I don't think those would
fit.
