Walbro Fuel Pump 140-160

A Walbro in-line fuel pump has been suggested as a reasonably priced replacement for the Bosch D24 unit used with the D-jet. If anyone has experience with the performance of these units over a fair time span, I'd very much appreciate hearing (reading) about it. My current pump is still working after 33 years, but it is awfully rusty on the outside and when I drained it, the fuel that ran out of the intake side was brown. I'd hate to spend $300+ for a pump that is likely to outlive me, possibly by several decades. Ofcourse, a junkyard unit would be an option if I simply wanted to carry a spare.
