My Bjorn is getting ready to see Odin ... 700 1986

I think this is it....the end is getting near....
My 1986 740T is expiring ....

It is throwing oil (blood) out of the exhaust.
Should I just let it go to see his brothers & sisters in the sky, or
should I keep him hooked to the life support ?

Any of these could be the culprit:

- Worn pistons & rings
- blown head gasket
- blown turbo seals
- plugged flame trap (I checked it, and it appears OK)

How can I isolate the problem ?
Thanks in advance !
