WARNING: VOLVO OEM IS NOT ALWAYS VOLVO OEM

I hear what your saying. And it only further isolates me from not only Volvo but all dealerships. I think the bottom line is that the part and price info is not enough to avoid dealer ripoffs, but having the comparison parts side by side. That is what is hard to do, since you have to buy one to compare one, or travel from one place to the next, if it is even in stock (another complication). In everyday practical life, the poor man goes broke and bogged down with this S___! but Bill Gates lost a few million if he spent more than 5 minutes making a decision like this. They say it is not worth Bill Gates time to stoop over and pick up a five dollar bill if he dropped one.

I think that is the car dealerships only real edge - this time/cost/part not in stock to compare factor. Maybe some clever person can point a way out of this dilemma.

Thanks for the well thought out reply.

Rob
