Sven will not start 200 1991

Sven is ill again....Was driving well on Sunday but would not start yesterday.. I got in turned the key, the lights worked and so did the radio but just made a ticking sound...I am thinking it is the battery, the lights got dimmer as I kept trying it so seemed to be losing the battery altogher.. I am going to get a new battery today to try that first, any advice guys? Does it sound like just a battery problem.. I do have to admit it is an old battery... Thank you so much as always!!!
