Need an alternator outside of Whichita Falls, TX!!!!! 200 1976

Hi all, I generally don't have time to get outside the 1800 forum, but would appreciate some help.... It's my niece who has a 76 245DL. She's stuck in Quanah, Tx on her way back to college with a bad alternator. The local mechanics and parts store are giving her a hard time.

She is trying to get the alternator out, but hasn't been able to tell which one (of three according to the service manual) is installed.

(1) Anyone know what the differences were in the alternators used in 76 on the B21F - is the mounting compatible with each other?

(2) Is there a "kit" for any of these?

(3) I've got a ___00756 757 14V 55A 20 from my 72 1800E "donor" car. Can anyone tell me if it will fit?

(4) Anyone have a spare and close enough to help out?

Appreciative of any help,
