Yet another control arm bushing question 700 1989

I saw this mentioned in the board earlier, but I can't seem to find the post. I tried installing poly control arm bushings this past weekend, and I couldn't seem to get the control arm back in place with the poly bushing installed. Looking at the pictures on FCPGroton, the rubber and poly bushings look like they are shaped differently, but the guys at FCP insist that they have never had any problems with those bushings. Apparently, I was the very first call they've ever received about them. So I'm confused, because I definitely couldn't get the control arm back in place with the poly bushing on there. So, can anyone shed any light on the situation? Also, I replaced the sway bar bushings with poly ones and tried tightening the nuts back to the spec torque. I wrenched on the nut for about 10 minutes without finding the correct torque, yet the bushings were almost flat. Do I need to adjust the torque setting for the urethane bushings?
