No start 700 1990

I have had this problem on my 740 as well. It would start great first thing in the morning and again when I left work for home but if I happened to turn it off and needed to restart within a couple of hours, it may not turn over.

In my case, it turned out to be the wrong size battery. The one I picked up was just under the minimum cold cranking amps required. I only discovered this when I went to replace it after it failed to hold a charge. I had the problem on and off for ~4 years and numerous diagnostics. New battery with proper cranking amp rating and I haven't had a recurrence.
