93' 940 Turbo - A/C Works, But No Air Movement

Richard,

I think your blower motor not working could be one of two things. Either the fuse for the blower is blown or you do indeed need a new blower motor. Probably the blower motor because I think the same fuse controls AC function. Replacement of the blower motor is fairly easy and it's outlined in this link:

http://brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/HeatingAirConditioning.htm#HeaterBlowerMotorReplacement

New blower motors cost around $60.00 at ipdusa.com.

I can give you my best guesses where your engine problems are concerned. Since your check engine light is going on I believe it is due either to a faulty air mass meter (AMM) easy to check function see faq's or a faulty oxygen o2 sensor also see faq's. The idle problems could also be linked to a faulty idle air control (IAC) motor or a dirty throttle body, but the the previous two would more likely light the check engine light and I might check them first. A faulty IAC is often associated with an engine dying.

I think these items might give you a good place to start. I wish you luck.

Mike
