1800 question 140-160

I am going to post this here, because it seems the most active forum.

I love my 144, but would really love to get an 1800. Can anybody direct me to a site that explains the numbering system (p1800, 1800e, 1800es?). I want the sports car, not the wagon, and would like to know how they changed from year to year etc.

Also, there is one for sale at www.vintagevolvocarsparts.com

Has any one dealt with them? Or even taken a look at the 'butterscotch' (what colour is that anyway?) 1800 they have for sale:

"1971 1800 E butterscotch with black interior; 4 speed with overdrive, needs moderate restoration work; solid body $1,750.00."

I have emailed them asking what 'moderate restoration' means, but havn't received a reply yet. It might be a good project?
