Had a close call last night! 200

Got a call from my wife last night. She was going to an appointment in her 1989 245 about 35 miles from the house and she said she heard a noise and all of the lights on the dash came on and the temp gauge was rising! She stopped the car but could not see anything wrong. Nothing leaking and no bad smells. She was on the highway about 3 miles from the exit she was going to take. I told her to get in the breakdown lane, put the hazard flashers on and go slow. She made it to the exit and to her appointment. I called Triple A (you gotta love this company!)and they towed it home. I checked it out and both of the alternator belts were gone? Seems funny that both of them would break at the same time? The engine seems to running okay still. I hope it did not heat up too much but only time will tell. I hope it will make it to the 300,000 mile mark at least. Only 29,000 miles to go...
