No Fuel Filter? 200 1980

Hi All,

It looks like my '80 244 b21A has no fuel filter and no sign of ever having one! The fuel lines haven't been messed with and there is only a short rubber line from the firewall to the SU carb...was there originally an inline filter in this area? Again, there is no evidence of something missing!

It is a straightforward job to install an inline filter, I'm just worried that I'm not seeing a nasty old plugged up filter in a strange place.

Any help on where the original filter was located would be appreciated!...Rob
