We've seen the performance stage tips at McBroom's great site. My question is what is the best performance from a 740 that is still streetable that has actually been done by Volvomen? No theory, guys just plain facts. For instance, does an addition of a high performance cam (VMX) and adjustable timing gear produce a usuable 20-40hp gain that is worth it? Or is it only valuable to those screaming at 5500 to 6800 rpm's? What is the best performance value that is street livable, i.e. true sleeper- happily lurking and ready to strech your pants when called upon. Especially interested in RHaire and J Sargeant's replies, since they are always playing. Simply, what works for going fast in the 740.
