Changing panel lights - 780 700 1991

Hi, does anyone here know how to change the light bulb(s) on the front panel on a 780? I looked at the FAQ but not sure if the 780 has the same layout as a regular 700 series. I am talking about the light behind the headlight switch and also has the power antenna, fuel door release, etc. There seems to be a black cover underneath that attaches to the dashboard with a couple screws. Do I remove this to get underneatch the panel, or do I have to pull off the cover and remove the headlight knob thing?

thanks much.
