Oil drain plug: did I strip it?? 900 1993

This does not look good. Was changing my oil and replaced the plug and all of a sudden it was loose again. Threads on the IPD magnetic plug are all rounded and the threads in the pan look like they are metal filled. Wondering if the plug metal is weaker than the pan metal.
