If you've followed my on-going fight with an at fault insurance co. that offered me an insulting offer of $630 for my car,I have some good news.I did work my way up to the supervisor finally and it took 2 days for them to re-evaluate my claim.The 2nd offer,which I have accepted is $2,008.(dont count your chickens till they've hatched).
I gladly accepted this amount and I can put my daughter in a 92 940t.I'll take my daughter tomorrow to give her approval and I'll test drive.She has an injury claim that will take who knows how long,then she can buy what ever she wants.As long as I'm choosing my families chariots,you know they will be of the brick variety.
The 940 does have 199k on the clock,but it's a daily driver.Not many service records on it but the owners manual has dealer stamps up to 70k.
Since I know who I'm getting it from and they have plenty of parts cars,any future problems will be handled cheaply.I'm also giving him the totaled 242 including the virgo(turbo)rims.I showed him pics and he said he'd take it.I got to keep the car for $50,all he has to do is come pick it up and hopefully deliver the 6 series,635csi,bmw I've been bugging him about.It' a 2'fer,one for my daughter and one for me.I'm not using any of her $$$ for my aquisistion.The 960 will maintain it's daily driver status,and the bimmer,hopefully my last 2nd car.
Thanks for all the support and tips while dealing in this matter,and i hope I can put it all behind me now,and by the way,my daughter is improving,but I think she'll have some long lingering effects from her near fatal accident.The Volvo did it's job and we still have our loved one(Sara).
