What are ALL of the possible causes for 'limp home' mode??? 700 1990

I believe I may have put my vehicle in "limp home" mode after replacing the water pump, obviously unwittingly. The car starts fine, idles, but my 1990 745ti has no power. Timing is good, no computer codes. I've got spark, good fuel pressure and the AMM appears to be working, based on FAQ page.

Thanks
