Distributor will not budge! 200 1983

Well, I found out what my no-spark problem was - the stupid little wires coming off the distributor (hall effect?) were cracked. Looks like that area had been monkeyed with before, and the snap ring inside the distributor was cracked as well. I figured I will either solder the wires or replace the whole assembly.
BUT, I can't pull the distributor! I took the 13mm bolt out, and the distributor still won't turn. I have sprayed it with WD40 and have tried whacking it with a mallet, but it still won't turn or pull. Am I forgetting something?

Note: when I "set" the timing last week, I didn' have to adjust anything, it checked out ok, so the distributor may not have been rotated in many years.
