945 question 900

I just purchased a concert grand pedal harp for my daughter, and now have to think of how to haul it. I'm reluctant to purchase an SUV, primarily because of the incidents of rollover, but also because of the price of gasoline. I'm leaning toward considering a 940 wagon for the economy (compared to an SUV) and primarily for the safety. I'll have to trade in the '94 960 sedan.

But first I have to determine whether the harp will fit in the back. It stands just about six feet high (71 1/2 inches), so I'll need that much room in the back to lay it flat. Can anyone who owns the wagon tell me if there is enough room to fit the harp? I also welcome any other thoughts or suggestions for my dilemma

As always, many thanks to all brickboarders for your inputs, suggestions, knowledge, and encouragement.

Regards,
Robert
