HALL SENSOR REPLACEMENT - 760T 700 1985

On turbo cars a rich condition is often caused by a bad induction hose. Remove all of them, and check them inside and out for a break. The 3" long outlet hose on the intercooler is the first to go bad, and it goes bad on the bottom where the break cannot be seen. I paid $600 for a very nice 760T which supposedly needed a turbocharger, and the only problem was this bad hose. Also check the rubber elbow at the throttle body, it goes bad on the outside.

You could also have a bad AMM. Experience has shown me there is no way to test one off of the car. Install a known good AMM, and your problem may be cured. My daughter's 1984 242 had a rich running issue, and I could not adjust the AMM to cure it. I installed a used AMM given to me by another brickboarder (he didn't have a use for the 002 AMM), and the car runs perfect.

If you want me to repair your distributor, just click on the envelope next to my name and send me an email. I'll provide you with my address. Usually I give less than 24 hour turn around, but I can't always do that.
