Electric Seat Control Module 700 1988

I've read through the FAQ and it seems that it is virtually impossible to access the electrical switches; the module is one piece soldered to the wiring harness. Am I reading this correctly? If not, what do I need to do to get it apart?

The author states that the switches can be "carefully pried out" from to front to clean them if necessarily. Anyone have any tips for doing this? I cannot find any places under the switch where I could hook a screwdriver and I'm rather afraid to break the little nipples at the fulcrum point.

The reason I ask is that I cannot get the passenger seat to move forward. It's not the fuse and there's a load on the motor if I move the switch to the rear position, so from what I can figure it's the contacts in the switch.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
