still having problems 200 1986

I don't think the engine is overheating...at least not according to the guage. I have opened the hood when I was having this problem, and it wasn't abnormaly hot...again, I don't thin it's the temp. As far as a vaccum leak I have sprayed WD-40 around on everything while it's running, and missing and the engine dosen't speed up...if I had a vaccum leak it would. I don't know about letting it idle and only driving 10 miles, I just let it run long enough to get to operating temp before starting out.The wiring is factory, I would like to replace it but the only place around Atlanta you can get this is from Volvo...and they want BIG bucks. When it starts to miss it seems that if you lift off the acelerator a little it seems to smooth out a little...does that make sense??? Actually when it is missing the exhaust smells a little lean. Thanks for the reply...Craig
