Challenge for You: Brake Lights / Headlights / Radio / What a mess! 900

OK... where to start. I swapped radios from my old 740 to my "new" 1991 940 turbo. When I was finished the headlights and brake lights didn't work. I am 99.9% sure the "K" relay is good as I've tested it.

Other info:
1) I removed the factory amplifier while I was doing the swap.
2) I cut the connector from the factory amplifier wires (black and purple) under the driver's side dash.
3) I cut what I believed to be old factory radio / amp connector(s)... or two (oops!) that were behind the radio. I know, I know, rookie mistake; I knew it was a bad idea even as I did it.

Now I have 4 wires white/yellow(x2), white (x1), and blue (x1) dangling behind the radio that weren't used by the radio (the radio works fine). They are wrapped in the same bundle as the radio wiring. Did these wires go to a connector that I cut off? Not sure, but when I twist the two white/yellow wires together the headlights appear to work normally. Still no luck on the brake lights though. The white and a blue wires are still hanging. Coincidentally (or not) there is an empty female connector in the same area with an orange, a blue/yellow, and a white/yellow wire in it.

Anyone know this wiring well enough to describe what might have happened?

Thanks in advance for your ideas and info!

Bill
