Rumbling when accelerating and driving 700 1988

I recently bought a great looking 245 dl wagon that has had little or no maintenance. I had the same problems of rumble and vibration. The first thing that I found was a broken transmission mount. I also found that the trailing arm to axle bushings were worn out. The transmission mount is the easiest to change. You will need a special tool for the large trailing arm bushings if they are bad. If you change the transmission mount, change the engine mounts also as a bit of preventive maintenance.
