'96 965 Failed Inspection- No Back-Up Lights 900

I went in for my annual Mass state inspection this morning and to my surprise I had no back up lights. Since they hadn't entered the car in the machine yet they were real nice and offered to let me go get it fixed instead of putting a big "REJECT" sticker on my windshield.

I've forgotten if the PNP switch is involved in this feature? I'm still running on my original at 118K miles.

I'd like to go to the dealer and get the most likely part at noon today if someone has a good idea about the most likely failed part.

Anyone?
