new volvo owner, documentaition question 900

Ok I've just purchased a 93' 960 in very good shape, 166k miles, I know the rotors and pads need to be replaced on the rear, not a huge issue. The previous owner had some rear tires installed at a tirewarehouse place and I know they just wrenched the lugnuts on without paying attention to torque.

I would like to keep on top of the maintence and was wondering if anyone had any recomendations on books and manuals other than the incedibly vague Chiltons manual I looked at that covers the 960. The 900 series FAQ on this site is really good, I've read most of it it.

As for the ever critical Timing belt... How huge of a deal is it to replace ones self?
