Phew!! It was the heat sheild after all! 200

And here I was, all worried, and doubting the fortitude of a Volvo wagon.
I took *Bo* to my local guy, and after a $40 weld of a heat shield and replacement hanger on the pipe, my wagon sounds like new. Thanks for the advice on the 'weird scraping noise', everyone. :)
I also had the mechanic rewire the rear hatch door - and what do you know, everything works!! Even the rear wiper and mister, which I don't think I've EVER seen happen before on ANY Volvo wagon I've been in. Woo-hoo!
Now on to the wayback compartment problem... *James Bond*. Phuh. I AM a resourceful Yankee, don't you know?? Why spend money on a key when I can permanently break it all by my onesie?
Thnkas so much, everybody - I'm looking forward to passing along the word to all my Volvo owning friends about what a great resource this site is.
